SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Jan. 89 Jane Stevens, Scudder Scholarship recipient, will speak 
at Jan. 6 general meeting at Oak Bend Public Library
May. 89 Richardson, Marjorie Mickey Scudder Scholarship:  The 1989 recipient of the Mickey
Scudder Scholarship will be Jennifer Matos, biology graduate at 
Washington University.  Ms. Matos's overall study is:  
"Evolution in the Pinus Montezuma Complex:  Population
Structure and Hybridization". She will do field work in the Mexican
States of Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon.   The Scudder Scholarship
has been awarded the last five years.
Oct. 89 Richardson, Marjorie Ms. Catherine Reppell, a graduate student at St. Louis 
University, has acknowledged with gratitude her acceptance of
the WGNSS Mickey Scudder Scholarship for 1989

Jackson will speak on the "Land Above the Trees--The Tundra
of the Rocky Mountains".
Mar. 89 General meeting on March 3 at Oak Bend Public Library.  Karen
Haller will talk about India--"The Jewel in the Crown", describing 
her 22 day wildlife expedition there.
May. 89 General Meeting on May 5.  Mary Wiese will talk about 
"Madagascar and Those Other Islands"

Korotev will tell us of his two months in Antarctica
