SCHOLARSHIPS
May. 83 The 1983 recipient of the WGNSS Audubon Summer Camp 
scholarship is Michael Skinner, who teaches biology at the 
Oakville Senior High School in Mehlville School District
Nov. 83 The WGNSS Audubon Camp Scholaarship for the summer of 
1983 was awarded to Michael Skinner.  He attended the
Connecticut Camp for a one-week workshop in environmental
education and tidal zone ecology.

Jan. 83 WGNSS General Meeting, Jan. 14, St. Louis County Library, 
Lindbergh and Clayton, 8 PM.  Dave Tylka will make a slide
presentation on the Absoroka Wilderness of Wyoming
Feb. 83 WGNSS  General Meeting, Feb. 11, St. Louis County Library;
Marshall Magner will give a slide presentation titled:  "The Why
of Insects, and What To Look For This Summer".

Peg Feigley and Lillian Nagel will present "A Resume of the 
Lower Plants"
May. 83   WGNSS General Meeting, May 13, St. Louis County Library, at
8 PM.  Joel Masse will make a slide presentation covering 
birding and other experiences in China and Japan.
Sep. 83 WGNSS General Meeting, Sept. 9, at St. Louis County Library, 
8 PM.  Dr. Gary Shackelford will show some of his Photos of 
Missouri Birds and Wildflowers.
Oct. 83 WGNSS General Meeting, Oct. 14, at St. Louis County Library;
W. J. Leverich, Asst. Prof.of Biology, St. Louis U., will 
present "The Role of Disturbance in Natural Communities".
Nov. 83 WGNSS General Meeting, Nov. 11, at St. Louis County Library,
8 PM.  Mr. Walter C. Crawford, Jr. of the Raptor Rehabilitation 
Center will present a program entitled "Searching for the Rare
Yellow-headed Vulture in Mexico".
