May. 73 Gilbert Samuelson, co-editor with his wife Betty of Nature Notes, 
died suddenly on April 11.  The May issue of Nature Notes 
contains some biographical information about him.

Gilbert Samuelson to be a special one, as their last issue before 
turning the office over to a new editor   But Gilbert died suddenly 
on April 11.  He had just completed a "retirement" statement for 
Nature Notes before his death, and the statement is printed in 
this issue.  (The Gilberts had been editors for "more than two 
years'.)
