members when unusual birds are to be found in the area.  Several
names listed to call.
Jy-Aug. 69 The next Board meeting (Sept. 8) will be a major fall planning 
session.  The Board would like to hear  what the general 
membership would like to see and do, and we are wide open to 
hear and discuss your suggestions.  Sound off!
Jy-Ag. 69 Editor We still want to break out of the heavy concentration on birds and
birding.  As an example, it's been a long time since we've had an
article on trees of the area--and there are lots of them around.  How
many varieties locally?  Is there anything unique?  What changes

Feb. 69 The annual dinner celebrating the 49th Anniversary of the founding
of WGNSS will be held on Saturday, April 12, in the Garden Room
at the Carpenters' Union Hall, 1401 Hampton Ave.  Lee and Edward
Mason will take us on a sailing journey through the Virgin Islands
with a slide program titled "Windjammer Holiday".
