entitled "A Case History - Saving the Forest Primeval".  A 
full page color picture shows Jackson's son, Keith, inspecting an
uprooted monarch of the Becall Woods.

Democrat Sunday Magazine of Oct. 29, 1967, with four pages with
pictures of Union Electric's Taum Sauk Nature and Resources
Museum and of Edgar Denison, the man who developed it from
start to finish.

Mar. 67 Nature Interests of WGNSS Members:  Percentages of "checked" 
nature interests were as follows:  Astronomy, 25%; Geology, 31%;
Botany, 57%; Ornithology, 81%; Entomology, 20%; Conservation,
70%.  Other interests mentioned were a music group, ecology, 
reptiles and amphibians, and horticulture.  Comments and 
suggestions were:  More Forest Park Trips; a Bird of the Month
Selection, more Nature Education, especially for young people,
more Sunday field trips; sessions with slides on wild flowers and
bird identification; advice on best local areas for birding.
