Mar. 59 The Webster Groves Garden Club Assn. is sponsoring a program
on Conservation Friday, March 13, 1959 at 8 PM in the Little 
Theater of the High School at the corner of Selma and Bradford
Avenues, in Webster Groves.  The program will consist of a short
talk, a moving picture "To Conserve Our Heritage", and an 
Q/A period following.  The speaker will be  Mr.Herbert Schwartz, 
Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Missouri Conservation
Commission.

traditional 50-mile radius from St. Louis during the 24 hour period.
This was the third highest total within the past decade.  This 
total compared with 178 last year, 214 on May 7, 1950 (our area's
highest total), 202 on May 6, 1951, and 192 on May, 1949

at Aransas National Wildlife Refuge and nearby areas in Texas by

Feb. 59 Congratulations - It's another boy, born to Mr. & Mrs. Marshall

Mar. 59 The Doerrs have another naturalist, Christine (fourth daughter), 
was born on Nov. 20, 1958
Mar. 59 In Memoriam - Olive Schregardus O'Byrne, wife of the late Harold
I O'Byrne, died Jan. 2 in California.  Long time members will
remember her many activities with the Society, including the 
presidency  She married Harold O'Byrne while he was Editor of 
  Nature Notes and she was the President.
Mar. 59   Richard L. Cunningham has been promoted from wildlife tour 
director to research biologist by the National Audubon Society.
May. 59 Richard Grossenheider will have a Wildlife Art Exhibit at the St.
Louis Public Library April 1 to April 30.  He also has a Radio 
Program Tuesday mornings, K.F.U.O.-Trade Winds.
May. 59 Sally Springer and Willis D. Vasse were married March 28, 1959

Oct. 59 We're sorry to hear of the illness of one of our members, Mr. Max
Schwartz, who is in St. Luke's Hospital.
Oct. 59 Dick Cunningham has done it again--Dick's trading the Audubon
Service for that of Uncle Sam and the Army
Dec. 59 Max Schwartz is home after his visit to St. Luke's Hospital.  He's
doing well, but must take it easy.
Dec. 59 Earl Comfort has returned home after two weeks in McMillian; his
doctors have awarded Helen Hill custody for a few days.  Glad to
have you back in birding society, Earl.

12 miles.  Hikers will drive from Shutins campsite to Taum Sauk 
Mt. and hike back to Johnson Shutins, arriving about 4 PM.
