Jun. 42 Pfeffer, Magdalen A Member in the  Dog House -For not donating a new
cephalapod species named after her as the discoverer for not 
donating it to the Lodge Museum.  Gives her reasons.
Jun. 42 Ofelein, Irma An Illustrious Member - Miss Magadalen Pfeffer has been rewarded
by the finding of a hitherto unknown fossil, and it has been 
named in her honor.  The fossil was found in the Fern Glen
formation of Dennis Hollow, one mile east of Valmeyer, Illinois, 
beside State Route #158.

at Creve Coeur Lake were white, not brown.  The red-bellied

Lodge.  Attendees are also invited to dedication of a new fire

Jan. 42 At the A.N.S.S. meeting (in Dallas, Dec. 30 and 31), WGNSS 
was represented by Edna Rau and Harold O'Byrne.  Miss Rau read 
reports on the recipients of summer camp scholarships in 1941, 
and Mr. O'Byrne presented a paper "A Buttefly Hunter's Gossip".
Feb. 42 Stones, Hattie Nature Study and Old People - Old people don't have to sit and 
fold their hands because they can't take part in all the activities of
youth.  Suggestions given.
Jun. 42 O'Byrne, Harold Summer Camp Scholarship:  This year the A.N.S.S. will award 
one summer camp scholarship for $25.

O'Byrne.  9 AM hike on nature trail; 1:30 PM hiking on
marked trails near picnic area; 2:30 PM, Conservation Pageant
by  school children from nearby communities; 6 PM, campfire 
supper at O'Byrne home followed by gabfest and star study.

Sanctuary.  Program:  8 AM - Bird Walk; 2 PM - General

enjoyable day.  Conservator O'Byrne led the morning walk on a 
trail ordinarily closed to the public.
