These presentations represent a first-time effort at making a set of powerpoint presentations to accompany the first 5 chapters of the book, as well as the mathematical appendix. As such, they come with no guarantees, and do not represent the same effort at polish and completeness that went into the textbook. Use at your own risk. However, some effort has been made to include some of the equations into the text, and you may find this to be a good starting point for some of your lectures. Be aware also that these lectures are often accompanied by other photos and figures that we do not have legal permission to post on this public website.
